A lot has changed, much remains the same, and things that are old are now being touted as new again.

It must mean there's a new version of our 'State of SEO' report that has just gone live. 😬

2024 was the first year we put one of these together, and was something I felt like I had to do with all that was happening in the world of SEO.

Things haven't slowed down in 2025, so I'm back with a brand new update on the state of what's happening and what I'm thinking about. 

I take these reports seriously as I respect that people will decide how to spend their time based on them.

That's why I've shared a lot of insights and data from my own research and from that of others to help you form your own opinions about what is happening. I'm also happy to admit where I don't have concrete advice to give (like how content production is going to change) and state it's something I need to dive into further.
