Two Pretty Amazing Updates in Our Facebook Group

OK, so I'm slightly biased with that headline, but the feedback to them has been incredible so far and I don't want you to miss out.

First of all, we have just started an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with someone who has been behind the scenes of website sales totalling tens of millions of dollars.

(And in many cases, the sites involved massively relied on search engine traffic).

What would you ask someone who gets to watch exactly what people do after they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a website?

Well, get thinking, because here's your chance to do exactly that: https://www.facebook.com/groups/seoblueprint/permalink/460175621337248/

Just check out that comment count so far:

I can genuinely say this has been the best marketing-related AMA I have ever seen. Our special guest is really going all out with his answers.

If you've been through SEO Blueprint already, you may recall my video on how I find expired domains to pick up - with great backlinks - with ease.

I thought I would make your life even easier by sharing some of the best domains available to buy until the end of the year, spending $500 in the process so you don't have to.

Here's the Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/seoblueprint/permalink/460676811287129/

It's already starting to get some great reactions:

Note: There are tabs at the bottom of the sheet so you'll see domains expiring over multiple days.

I have actually placed an order for a few of them myself, and I'll keep updating it daily until the end of 2019.

Finally, are you in the mood to give a little back?

A friend of one of our members has had a brutal time lately, having to fire 33 of his 40 employees, in large part to their poor search engine rankings.

They've shared their story - website and all - and would love some feedback if anyone has the time.

Here's the link to that discussion: https://www.facebook.com/groups/seoblueprint/permalink/460694277952049/

Last but not least, thank you for being part of this incredible community.

I am really proud of what we've built, but if you could see what we have around the corner you would still not believe it (in other words, there's some gooood stuff coming).

Thank you for being here!

Our November Algorithm Update Analysis is Now Live!

I'm very excited (and slightly nervous) to announce that the first draft of our November Google Algorithm Update Analysis is now live.

(Say that three times fast).

You can find the entire analysis here: https://seoblueprint.com/google-algorithm-update/

And you can discuss it on Facebook and ask questions, here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/seoblueprint/permalink/457087024979441/

It's probably best to read this on desktop due to the quick links in the sidebar, but it should look something like this:

I should say in advance that there's no specific "one fix" you need to make in order to recover rankings, but we really have tried to cover all angles.

For now, and probably the next few weeks, this is completely exclusive to SEO Blueprint members (and a few people who submitted their websites for us to analyse).

It's not perfect, and is definitely a draft, but I can say as a team we have never put this much work into a single piece of content...ever.

I'm really proud of the effort we put into this and how valuable we tried to make it, so I hope you feel the same.

We plan to do many more of these going forward - and I absolutely believe the next version will be 10x better - so let me thank you for being part of this community.

We're giving it our all to help your SEO journey, and it's great to have you along for the ride!

We're Giving Away Up to $1,000 in SEO Tool Prizes

As we've just closed the doors on our second ever opening, I thought it would be the perfect time to run a contest I've always wanted to be part of myself.

We're giving away up to $1,000 in SEO tool prizes (split among four winners), and in return, all you have to do is find something quirky or weird about the site I share tomorrow.

This is not a competition about who can write the most or who can spend the most time on a website: It's just a bit of fun, giving you a reason to put some of the on-site modules to the site and bringing our amazing community together.

The contest starts in 24 hours, and you can learn more about it in our Facebook group, here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/seoblueprint/permalink/451823655505778/

Even if you're brand new to SEO, you stand a chance of winning this one.

If all goes well, I would love to run more of these fun contests in the future, so let's see how it goes.

Remember: We want to build an elite and exclusive community, but we also want to be free from elitism and judgement, so if you wish to join our Facebook group with a pen name (as long as Facebook approve your account) that's totally fine.

Auditing a WordPress Plugin Provider (And Using Sitebulb on Screen)

If you've watched a few of my on-site audits already, then you'll know I'm a huge fan of ScreamingFrog.

It saves a lot of time when auditing a site, and helps you uncover issues you probably wouldn't have found otherwise.

One tool I'm a fan of, but haven't yet used on a site audit (at least not a recorded one), is Sitebulb.

Like ScreamingFrog, it's a premium site auditing tool designed to help you uncover problems. It does look quite different though:

Sitebulb is also set-up very differently to SF and takes a while to get used to, but I thought you might like to see how it works, so used it for my most recent update.

Here's the link: https://seoblueprint.com/analysing-a-wordpress-plugin/

I really hope you enjoy this one. Lots more on the way!

A New Version of Detailed Crawler (+ Blueprint Search Functionality)

I'm excited to announce that we have a new version of Detailed Crawler which no longer requires you to keep downloading and overwriting your previous installation.

Instead, the tool now updates itself in-app, and all you have to do is simply restart it to get the latest features.

This change comes with a number of new filters for finding on-site issues, as we try harder than ever to make this the best free crawler on the market (it might actually be the only one).

If you last downloaded the tool before the 14th of November, you'll need to download it again, here: https://seoblueprint.com/detailed-crawler/

Sorry for the hassle, but this should be the last time you ever have to do so manually.

On top of that, we've added a much requested search function to the dashboard area, which should look like this:

Not only does this allow you to search video titles and page content, but it searches comments as well.

So if you want to find all of your own comments, this is one way to do so.

We also had a request to have a page where all of the latest comments are displayed.

I can certainly make this more useful but we've created a page for those as well, which looks something like this:

If you want to find the page again, just go to the main Dashboard area and look at the latest comments, and click 'View All'.

We also made some other announcements recently we didn't send an email about so you can look out for those, but I hope you enjoy these updates!

P.S. If you're not in our Facebook group yet, do come and join us. I shared a pretty cool new tool there this week: https://www.facebook.com/groups/seoblueprint/

(You're welcome to use a pen name if you're not a fan of Facebook for personal things).

A New Video on Mobile Auditing (With Two Real-World Examples)

When most of your website traffic likely comes from people using a mobile or tablet device, it's important to ensure there aren't any obvious issues for the majority of your site users.

That's why in today's video not only will I show you how to look for issues, but also give two examples of issues I came across in the real-world.

(This was also my first time recording videos directly on my phone and embedding them into a normal video, which was fun).

You can find the video here: https://seoblueprint.com/site-on-a-mobile-device/

With the great rollout of mobile-first indexing, how your site appears and how it differs from your desktop experience is critical to keep in mind.

We will have some more videos on this for that exact reason, but I plan to share something a little more exciting in our next update :)

A New Worksheet for How to Act Towards Thin Content

One of the longest videos in the program - and perhaps the longest in the on-site SEO module - is my guide on how to act towards "thin" or "unnecessary" website pages.

At the request of Dane (Thanks Dane!), we've just finished putting together a 16-page worksheet to go with the video as well.

You'll find it directly under the video, here: https://seoblueprint.com/act-upon-thin-or-unnecessary-pages/

I hope this makes life easier for you!

Two Brand New Videos on Outreach That Actually Works

We've just added two new videos to the link building module sharing different outreach angles that actually work.

(There are actually three new outreach videos if you didn't see the one we added at the end of last week).

Not only will you get a core foundation of what makes people open and respond to emails from strangers - so you're never lost about what to say, without being spammy - but I'll show some real world examples as well.

You can find the new videos in the link building blueprint.

The first is titled, "Perfecting Your Why: A Framework Behind Successful Outreach" (link), and there are two more directly after that.

I show some pretty cool tips I haven't seen discussed before so I really hope you get value out of this one.

If link building is not your focus just yet, I have some really exciting updates for other Blueprint's on the way as well.

Introducing a New Outreach Series (One of Many Updates in Progress)

I hate to be "that guy", but the updates we have planned for SEO Blueprint going forward are just incredibly exciting to me.

We have tools, worksheets, angles and more that I think you're going to love. I can't wait to share them over the coming weeks and months.

One new venture kicking off today is the introduction of a new series on outreach, and specifically some "ins" you can use to break down barriers and get the attention of your Seed 100.

This introduction video is quite simple so I'm not sending it as an email to update subscribers, but there is one cool angle in there regarding Client SEO I think you're going to find useful.

(Plus, it lays the groundwork for all of the related videos to come).

You can find the link here: https://seoblueprint.com/framework-behind-successful-outreach/

Most importantly, I never want you think "What kind of email should I send to this person that will work the best?"

As long as you know the core fundamental reason why successful outreach is, well...successful, then you'll never doubt the messages you're about to send.

An Interesting On-Site "Issue" I've Been Seeing Lately

One of the things I love the most about SEO is that I continually find new things that affect a large number of pages on one site, that have never been an issue on sites I've analysed in the past.

Today's new video covers a specific example, referring to the character people use before adding their branding in title tags.

I can't say too much since these updates are available to read by non-members as well (though the content isn't), but I think you'll find this one interesting.

Here's the link: https://seoblueprint.com/spacing-issue-in-titles/

I really hope you like this one.
